Is the Endometrial Thickness scan right for me?
This scan is designed for those who are undergoing or are about to begin fertility treatment in the UK or abroad. It is designed to determine whether the appearance of the endometrium (lining) of your uterus appears normal and ready for implantation of an embryo.
Please note that this scan does not include a full follicle count, and that the Pelvic Fertility Scan is more suitable for this.
How will the scan be carried out?
The Endometrial Thickness scan is routinely performed using a transvaginal (internal) scan, as this is the optimum way of viewing the endometrium, and allows us to more accurately measure it.
What will happen after my scan?
Any findings during the scan will be discussed with you, and you will be provided with a report which can be forwarded on to your Fertility treatment clinic.
