Is the Pelvic Fertility Scan right for you?
Our pelvic fertility scan has been especially designed for those who…

On ultrasound we can see the small follicles which contain your developing eggs within your ovaries. As we age, we lose several follicles each month, and this process generally speeds up as we reach our mid-thirties. By assessing your ovarian reserve, this will give you an insight into your fertility and you will be in a better position to make informed decisions about your future.
What checks will be carried out?
The scan will assess the uterus, endometrium (lining of your uterus), and ovaries. An antral follicle count will also be performed to check your ovarian reserve- the size, development and response to any fertility medication will be assessed and documented on your report.
How will the scan be carried out?
The Pelvic Fertility scan is routinely performed using both transabdominal and transvaginal (internal) scans, as this is the optimum way of viewing the pelvic anatomy and gives us a complete picture.
There is no clinical risk to having an internal scan and it can also be undertaken during menstruation.
What will happen after my scan?
Any findings during the scan will be discussed with you, and you will be provided with a comprehensive report which will arm you with the knowledge needed to either begin or continue your fertility journey.
